We only have a month to go before our first wedding and we seem to be pretty well prepared. With that in mind I decided to see if I could knock another item off of the list for our second wedding. I didn't want to wait too long and miss out on my dream hotel option, I decided to book the room as early as possible. I had actually tried before and they didn't price out the rooms until several months beforehand so I needed to wait until March.
What I had been looking for in a room was something that could double as a location for the pre-wedding getting ready shots. I didn't want it to be in a cramped little Vegas hotel room, so I opted for a nicer suite with multiple locations to use as a backdrop for a large portion of the days activities.
I had spent plenty of time searching the various hotels online trying to find a nice suite and as it turns out the one I was most interested in as far as a cool layout also had a special booking with a few fun extras. It's a little pricey but i think it will be totally worth the extra cost. Not only for the pictures but as a nice little romantic getaway for my fiance and I. She might think its overdone but I'm paying so she just has to sit back and enjoy it.
The extras include limo service to and from the airport, a bottle of champagne, chocolate covered strawberries. a couple massage and a prix fixe dinner at an upscale restaurant. Since we don't have a honeymoon planned for our first wedding, I am hoping this is a nice surprise for her and something to make it not just about me for the trip in October. I get to have all of Sunday buy she gets some fun too the day before the wedding. I added an extra night to the booking so we get the cool suite the night before the wedding and the night of the wedding.
The room itself is 1500 square feet, versus a standard room at 510 square feet. It is built in an arc shape with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Vegas Strip. A marble foyer opens into the living space with a desk to the left and a small dining table to the right. Directly ahead is a sitting area with a couch and a chair facing a 42" flat screen TV. The TV is built into the a large bookshelf that also acts as the the headboard of the bed on the opposite side providing a privacy wall between the two spaces. You can walk around the bookshelf on either side. The bed side of the wall is facing the window looking out over The Strip. There is also a small chaise lounge near the windows which have remote controlled sheers and curtains. There are two doors on either side of the bed for his and hers bathrooms. Hers has a jacuzzi tub and his has a walk in shower.
I am so excited about booking this room, there are tons of cool spaces for pictures and I'm sure the view of The Strip will be amazing at night.
