It's official. Aside from being below the 300 day mark, I have topped the crest of the hill and I'm now on the downhill slope. A little over a month ago I discovered that I have more days of planning behind me than I have going forward. I started the site around 356 days ago and I only have 299 left until the wedding.
My baseline for progress at each milestone has been my wedding weight. All the weight I lost in preparing for the half marathon is still pretty much where it was a month ago. I have put on two pounds since then but nothing to extreme. I plan on starting some exercises at home soon like jumping rope or on the rowing machine until I can start running again in April or May. Last time I checked I was at 199 pound with clothes on so that puts me at about 195. In a perfect world I would be at 190 with clothes on (or 186) for the wedding.
Since I haven't put on any extra weight I decided to order a bridal corset. I am only hoping for a two inch waist reduction versus the traditional 4 inches. Mostly because tightlacing is pretty uncomfortable. I just want something to help define my waist. So I pulled on an older corset of mine and pulled it in to get to a point I thought was comfortable and used that as my "want to get to " measurements. The corset will have a muslin mock up done first to verify the measurements will work before the final garment is made which I expect to be done in late February or early March. Which is when I will start having fitting for my wedding dress.
Along with prepping my wedding day wardrobe I have accomplished signing the contract with my wedding photographer and I am working out a timeline for getting ready, taking pics, the ceremony and location shots around Vegas. This is preliminary right now as I need to consult with my bridesmaid to see when she will be leaving after the ceremony. She has a little boy and I don't want him to miss out on Halloween.
It all seems to be getting a little bit more real no that we are under a year to go. I am actually buying things and setting up schedules and it just seems like its moving so much faster now.
Other than that I have the April wedding to consider. I have spent quite a bit of time looking at hotels, flights and we are starting to talk up a Vegas trip in April with our friends. They still don't know we are planning a wedding in April but the cat will be out of the bag very soon. We have decided on one of two wedding chapels and we are seeing who can give us the Elvis we want. We have a special song request. I expect we will be booking the chapel within a couple of weeks and hotel and airfare within a month. That wedding is only 109 days away.
