Milestones 400

Another 100 days has flown past. This means I am over 1/3 of the way to the big day since my fiance and I first discussed me being the bride at our 2nd wedding ceremony. I'll be honest, there wasn't much happening during days 600 through 400. Most of it was brainstorming ideas and concepts of I what my dream wedding would be like. I am hoping for some more concrete decisions going forward.

The only real consistent thing I have been doing over the last several months is my running schedule. Sine I am running a half marathon in December, I am using running as my pre wedding weight management test bed. 100 days ago I was still on my pre training running schedule. I have since graduated and I have worked my way up to 4.5 miles on Tuesday and Thursdays, 3 miles on Wednesdays and a long run on the weekend. This weekend will be my first 7 mile run. Not bad for someone who could barely make it home wheezing after 2 miles back in April. So far so good, I've only had one minor injury during one of my 5 mile runs where I had a bad calf cramp and had to take a week off to recover.

My weight during the last 100 days has shown some great improvement as I had hoped. My wedding weight goal is 190 and I started back in summer around the 207 mark, I think maybe a little more up towards 212. I am happy to say that for over a week now, I have been under the 200 mark. Officially, I am calling it 197, that what I came in on Friday. Thats only 7 more pounds in the next 13 months.

I'm sure once I stop running for the winter some of it will come back up but this tells me the goal is achievable. I still have two more months of running to do. I could make the mark of 190 this year. which would be great because I will need to start planning for my first dress fitting. Yeah!!!! I will set that up after the new year, which is a little more than a month after the half marathon.

Speaking of dress fittings I ordered a couple of items from Victoria's Secret that arrived the other day. I thought I needed a couple of things for my dressing up weekend at the end of October. The seater dress I ordered will need to go back but I love the ruched convertible dress I ordered. I don't know if its the cut of the dress or me running mut my butt looks amazing in this dress, if I do say so myself. Of course the picture is from the Victoria's Secret website. But I will definitely be wearing it some time during the Halloween weekend.

Back to the milestones. One other event passed that I thought was kind of neat, The hours till the wedding dropped below 10000 for the first time a few weeks ago. Not big enough to post about but fun none the less. I picked up a couple of items on my to do list over the past 100 days. I have my engagement and wedding ring set. I bought a waist cincher which will help give me an hourglass figure for the wedding dress I am planning to have made. I've contacted a couple of vendors in Las Vegas but not much else.

I am planning more things for the next 100 days. During my dress up weekend I will be discussing items with Kris that I am planning on for our wedding day to make sure she is OK with everything. I am hoping we go out on Halloween night dressed (gender reversed) as a test run to see how comfortable we are in public. I will be visiting photographers, makeup artists and chapels in Las Vegas as well as some restaurants and such. Looking at various hotel suites and checking with the management if they are OK with the whole thing. The 100 after that I have my dress fitting and prepping for our first wedding in April. I'm sure I will have plenty to do there. So I will keep planning as time marches on.

I haven't gotten a lot of response to my Halloween weekend dress up video chat which isn't a big deal. I am still planning to do it even if no one shows up. But do feel free to contact me via Yahoo Messenger at heisthebride or leave a comment on the blog if you do or don't like what you read. I am still writing because I know people are stopping by. I am averaging between 100 and 150 hits per day, my best day had 209. So thanks for reading.

One other item, I think this Halloween is going to be another good test for my Twitter account. I will be able to Twitter as I have my waxing and makeup lesson or when I am going out for Halloween dinner all dressed up. I can see how well it works to see if I will do the same on the day of the wedding. If you want o follow along my Twitter account is, you guessed it, @heisthebride.

Bye for now,
