Halloween Plans

Moving into the new place is going forward as planned, I even have a little bit of time to update the blog. Most of my planning the past few weeks has been getting ready for Halloween weekend this year. I am planning one of my dressing weekends to coincide with Halloween so I have been setting up appointments to prep for this seasons fun. I even managed to get a couple of wedding items checked off my list.

I set up appointments for a full body wax on the Wednesday before Halloween. I have a mani pedi with a full set of gel extension planned for Thursday around noon. I also found someone on cragislist that does drag makeup locally. I contacted her and she is willing to give me a makeup lesson at her studio so I set that up for after my mani pedi. After looking at her website I saw she also does waxing, specifically face waxing. I asked her about it and she says she has done mens faces before. So I set up a face waxing appointment too. This was something I wanted to test before the wedding anyways so...Yeah me!

I also broached the subject of Halloween night with my fiance. She has said before that she doesn't know how she will react when we walk around Vegas, in public, as bride (me) and groom (her). I thought this Halloween could be a good chance to test the waters. Since Halloween is on a Saturday night, we can do any number of things and get away with it just being a Halloween costume. She said I should try to come up with a costume and she will give it a try.

The plan right now is to get her a sailors uniform and I will wear one of my 40's retro dresses and be her USO girl. As we get closer to Halloween I will check out the local bars for costume parties and such. We really don't have to go to a costume party, anywhere we go people should assume thats where we are headed. Depending on our comfort level, we could just take a walk around the city or even have a late dinner at a nice restaurant while in costume. It should be fun. And we can get an idea of how she and I will do in a public setting. I don't really get out dressed that much. The important part, I think, is to own the look. Don't be timid or ashamed.

Finally, I am still planning a video chat session on Yahoo Messenger. This is not a smut or porn thing, just a
nice little chat with anyone interested in the blog and the planning of a wedding where the boy is going to be the bride. I will have a web cam up and be dressed if anyone would like to chat for a bit. I plan on having two sessions so I can cover Europe and Australia too, the time difference is pretty big, this also gives people in the US two chances if they have other plans during one of the chats. Of course, its possible that no one at all shows up, but thats OK too.

If you are interested, please send an add contact request to heisthebride. In the message section write something about how you read my blog and wanted to join the Halloween chat. That way I'll know you are an actual reader and not someone just trolling or an automated bot. You should get an add request pending until I accept you as a contact.

I will open a conference and send out a join request to everyone who added me as a contact. I will be starting the conference at 8:00pm US Central time on October 30th and again at 12:00 noon US Central time on October 31st. I hope you can join.

I haven't dressed in quite some time, so I am really looking forward to it.
